Johnny Franks

Johnny works for an architectural design firm and has been at it for 45 years! He currently serves as a mentor to approximately 100 team associates. When he’s not immersed in his professional responsibilities, he enjoys sketching, painting, and writing children’s books. Collaborating with his wife, Annette, they draw inspiration from their beloved pets, Cupcake and Charlie, to create engaging stories. All of Johnny’s books revolve around the exciting adventures and whimsical antics of Cupcake and Charlie, often imparting valuable lessons along the way. Stay tuned as Johnny continues to craft more delightful tales featuring the lovable characters. Johnny resides in Holland, Michigan with his wife Annette and their fur babies Cupcake and Charlie.

Annette Cavallaro

Annette is a retired chef and former owner-operator of Italian restaurants. Through the years, she made it a point to set time aside for her art, which serves as a wonderful escape for her. Now fully immersed in her retirement, Annette dedicates her time to writing, sketching, and teaching meditative art classes. She creates adult activity books, driven by her passion for helping others find relaxation and tranquility. Annette focuses on crafting books that are not too challenging, aiming instead to provide a grounding and calming experience for her readers. After her husband,  Johnny, finishes work for the day, the two of them enjoy spending time in their backyard, sketching, writing, and collaborating on their new books. Frequently asked why her last name differs from her husband’s, she chose to keep her name upon marriage as a heartfelt tribute to her late father, knowing she was the last Cavallaro in the family.
